Hi there,
I just bought the Z3 and my retailer (geekdeal at amazon) wasn't able to tell me whether it has the MOD Live technology or not (it will be shipped the next days so at the moment I can't look by myself).
If the goggle uses the old MOD technology what do i have to do to upgrade my MOD to MOD Live and what will this upgrade cost?
I found the MOD Live module (without goggles) for round about 360 EUR in an onlineshop in germany (www.funsport.de) - well, I'm from germany ;-) So, do I really have to purchase this module for half of the goggles prize and waste the "old" MOD module?? This can't be true ....
Normally I like wasting my money but that seems to be kind of ... erm ... silly?! ;-)
Is there any other way to upgrade the module without wasting the "old" one?
Most Z3's only offer MOD. Recently Zeal has started selling Z3's on their website with the option to upgrade to MOD Live.
Your other option is to cancel your order, purchase a MOD Live and snap fit it into any of our other partner brand goggles like the UVEX G.GL9, Alpina R-Tech and Briko Veloce.
Unfortunately, the choice of units to integrate into goggles was up to Zeal and they went with mostly MOD units for this season.
Thanks for your post on how to upgrade a zeal z3 to mod live. I found your video presentation very useful to understand the thing. I appreciate you for sharing the post.
So if I want Mod live in the Zeal Z3, I have to purchase Mod live separately and end up with the Mod version sitting on the table as a waste of money...is there no way to get the Z3 bundled with Mod live?
